NextGen Networks Data Centre

Acting as Head Contractor for this complex project in an open-book arrangement, A.G. Coombs delivered a complete service offering to Nextgen Networks, ranging from conceptual and detailed design management to the provision of multiple mechanical, electrical, fire protection and building works in the installation and commissioning of the project.

The scope of works included mechanical services, including the installation and commissioning of:

  • Three 583kW air cooled chillers.
  • 12 computer room air conditioning (CRAC) units.
  • Plant room and office air conditioning.
  • A building management system upgrade.

Electrical services, including the installation of:

  • Two 1675kVA generator sets, two 800kVA uninterruptible power system (UPS) units.
  • Lighting systems.
  • Switchboards.
  • Cabling.

Fire protection measures, including:

  • the installation of dry pipe sprinkler systems, coupled with Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA®).Building works, including:
  • Extensive raised floors.
  • A large roof top structural platform.
  • Block walls and riser construction.
  • Complete office fit-out.
