Emporium Melbourne

Melbourne’s newest shopping precinct, Emporium Melbourne, opened its doors to the public as planned; at 9am on Wednesday 16 April, 2014.

Engaged as technical building services experts, A.G. Coombs Advisory acted as Commissioning Manager for builder Grocon, providing a detailed and disciplined commissioning management approach across to ensure the task was completed on time.

A key challenge was driving the completion of the Integrated Communications Network (ICN); the backbone for all communications, controls and monitoring systems in the precinct. Commissioning plans with tight schedules were developed for all services, including the critical life safety systems with their strict compliance requirements.

A.G. Coombs’ commissioning management expertise was an integral part of our team to achieve the required operational performance of the building’s systems and cross the line in meeting our strict time targets.
