Developed by the United States Green Building Council, The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system rates buildings, homes and communities that are designed, built, maintained and operated to a high environmental standard.

MCA LEED Certification_story

Located within the iconic Melbourne Park, Margaret Court Arena was rated for high performance in sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, and materials selection. One of the key initiatives was an operable roof that allows air conditioning and lighting systems to be reduced when conditions are favourable.

Having been awarded the Melbourne Park Western Precinct contract by construction contractors Lendlease, A.G. Coombs provided the HVAC and mechanical services to Margaret Court Arena, as well as to an extended concourse area that joins the arena with Rod Laver Arena.
