One with the lot - Quarantine facilities use serious kit!

The new Post Entry Quarantine (PEQ) facility was built to consolidate Australia’s four existing PEQ operations. Located on a 144 hectare site in Mickleham Victoria it will become the first point of entry for all imported animals, plant material and insects. Across multiple buildings the facility features some of the most sophisticated and high-quality HVAC systems in Australia.

In the December edition of the AIRAH Ecolibrium magazine Sean McGowan takes a closer look at the country’s flagship quarantine control facility.

The article looks at the challenges in designing and delivering a mission critical facility with such strict requirements for containment and an incredibly diverse range of mechanical services and air conditioning and ventilation systems.
