171 Collins achieves 5 Star NABERS Energy rating

August 22, 2015

Melbourne’s 171 Collins Street has been awarded a 5 Star NABERS Energy rating by the National Administrator, NABERS Program of NSW Office of Environment and Heritage.

171Collins

The achievement of the target rating for this new landmark property is particularly significant for several reasons. The rating was conducted while the building occupancy was substantially less than 75% for more than 65% of the rating period. And additionally the rating has been achieved for the full 171 Collins Street development, both the tower and the Mayfair building as a single entity, whereas the original target had been for the tower only.

Owned and developed by property groups Cbus Property and Charter Hall Group, 171 Collins features a number of sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives that have also seen the building achieve 6 Star Green Star (v2) Office Design and As-Built ratings. These include the highly flexible Under Floor Air Distribution (UFAD) air conditioning system installed by A.G. Coombs.

A.G. Coombs congratulates the team at 171 Collins on this achievement, and is proud to have played a role in the award of the building’s 5 Star NABERS Energy rating.
