A.G. Coombs Apprentices recognised at the 2017 AMCA Training Awards

On Saturday 12th August, members of the industry gathered to honour its young trainees and apprentices at the Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Contractors’ Association (AMCA) annual industry dinner and training achievement awards night.

The AMCA training award winners are assessed against a set of criteria including career and study achievements, communication, teamwork and leadership skills. The Award was presented by AMCA Victorian President Mr Peter Keating.

Mechanical Plumber at A.G. Coombs Mitchell Stevens was awarded this year’s AMCA Training Achievement Award.

Mitchell commenced his plumbing apprenticeship with A.G. Coombs in 2013. During his training, he has worked on a number of high profile and complex projects including; the new Monash Children’s Hospital, New Bendigo Hospital, CSL Behring AlbuRx facility, and the large Post Entry Quarantine Facility at Craigieburn.

Congratulations also go to Aaron Darragh, Mechanical Plumber at A.G. Coombs, who was also a finalist for the award.
Aaron also commenced his plumbing apprenticeship with A.G. Coombs in 2013, and during his training has worked on projects including; Melbourne Park Redevelopment, New Bendigo Hospital, and Cabrini Hospital Central Plant Relocation.

A.G. Coombs would also like to recognise the achievements of all finalists for their hard work and dedication to their trade.
